In the lasts 20 years, more than
10.000 Carabinieri have been trained in the "Gen. A.Chinotto"
barracks, attending the second year of the course for
Non-Commissioned Officers (Marescialli), or three-months courses
for Brigadieri (Sergeants), as well as many different specialized
courses for Station Commanders, Investigators, Mobile patrol team
leaders, Crime Scene Investigators and so on. During the last three
years, the school has provided the pre-deployment training courses
for the units chosen to be employed in peacekeeping missions, as
part of the Multinational Specialized Units in Bosnia, Kosovo and
Iraq.
The barracks is provided of all the
facilities necessaries for a modern training, such as a 100 mt
shooting range, a digital simulator for Fire Arm Training system
(F.A.T.S.) and a well equipped gym. Of course all the training
programs includes Information Technology training, and the school
has been one of the first in the Carabinieri Corps who received the
approval for holding the "European Computer Driving License"
examinations.
